The Annual Christmas Gathering at Whitney Lake was a fun event for the Whitney Lake Community. Thanks to the hardworking members of the Social Committee chaired by Joy Bailey. Here are some photos we want to share to those who missed the event on Dec. 16, 2018.

With Whitney Lake as the background, the residents of Whitney Lake community enjoyed another fine day for their Annual Harvest Festival on the afternoon of Saturday, October 13, 2018.
Take a look at our beautiful lake:

We had a Chili cook-off and for $5, anyone could have a 3oz. taste of all the nine entries.
Entrants were getting ready with their chilis.
For the attendees, first you had to buy your ticket to sample the food. Or you bought a raffle for the 50-50. If you were generous, you could donate to our Pig.

The Chili Cook-Off was a big hit.
We also had corn hole game and the coin search on the hay which I missed entirely. Sorry about that. I was too busy sampling the chilis. You can’t blame me for that.

I took these sunset photos yesterday and today in front of my townhouse. As you can see Florence missed us. We are extremely lucky. We did not get a drop of rain. Street scene was taken from the front porch. Those with the pergola on the left were taken from the second floor closet window. My terrace was boarded so I could not go out but my husband’s closet has a small window and it was not boarded. Those with unobstructed view were taken from the third floor window. Although the pictures do not do justice to the wonderful sunset, you can still see the changes by the minutes.
This was taken on Thursday, 9-13-18 at 7:04 PM. Florence was to make a landfall that night. Not a drop of rain.
Two minutes later, the ground was still dry. Thursday, 9-13-18 at 7:06 PM.

Residents of Whitney Lake community will hold their annual Fourth of July Celebration on Saturday, June 30, 2018 with a rain date of Sunday, July 1, 2018.
There will be a BBQ Cook-off. We need more participants. Check the flyer below.

Once again, the residents of Whitney Lake at Johns Island, SC will hold their spring community yard sale on Saturday, April 21 from 8 am to 1 pm. There will be something for everyone. Come and enjoy a great bargain!
Whitney Lake can be accessed from either Maybank Highway, River Rd or Brownswood Rd.
From Maybank Highway, go to Sailfish Rd going to Trophy Lake. At the end of Sailfish, turn right into the back entrance of Whitney Lake.
Coming from River Rd., turn to Murraywood Rd. First left is the entrance to Whitney Lake on Sweetleaf. There is another entrance on Murraywood further down the road on Sparkleberry.
From Brownswood, go to Murraywood and turn right o Sparkleberry or Sweetleaf.
The sale will be scattered around the community in front of people’s front yard.
See you then and bring some friends with you.
The Social Committee chaired by Joy Bailey will host the Whitney Lake Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, May 24, 2018 at 4:00 PM. Meet at the Firepit at the corner of Brittlebush Ln and Waterleaf Rd.
There will be a Pet Parade at 4:00 PM. Prizes will be awarded.
The Egg Hunt begins at 4:30 PM sharp. Bring your own Basket. All ages are welcome.
Hot dogs will be provided but bring your drinks and a dish to share. Kona Ice Truck will be on hand for purchases.
There will be games for kids and egg relay too!
