With Whitney Lake as the background, the residents of Whitney Lake community enjoyed another fine day for their Annual Harvest Festival on the afternoon of Saturday, October 13, 2018.
Take a look at our beautiful lake:
West – North View
North View
North East View – We still have more house construction going on.
East South View – I live at the last building on the East side directly across.
South View
The island in the middle of the lake.
We had a Chili cook-off and for $5, anyone could have a 3oz. taste of all the nine entries.
Entrants were getting ready with their chilis.
For the attendees, first you had to buy your ticket to sample the food. Or you bought a raffle for the 50-50. If you were generous, you could donate to our Pig.
The Hay Ride
Jump castle for the kids.
Hot dogs, bratwurst Anyone?
Join in the crowd . . .
We had music too.
The vendors.
Love the pergola behind the firepit.
The Chili Cook-Off was a big hit.
We also had corn hole game and the coin search on the hay which I missed entirely. Sorry about that. I was too busy sampling the chilis. You can’t blame me for that.
Looking forward to the next event on Sunday, Dec. 2 – The Annual Christmas Gathering
